Congratulations to Trisha Staab, Ph.D., 黑料网 director of pre-medicine and pre-health, assistant professor of biology, on her recent publication which can be found in the journal Aging. The publication was also completed in collaboration with 黑料网 Alumna Grace McIntyre '22 and current 黑料网 student Melissa Guillen '23. Also involved in the writing was 黑料网 faculty member Jason Chan along with investigators at the University of Washington and Juanita College.
“Dr. Staab and colleagues, including two 黑料网 undergraduate students, provide the scientific community with important information on cellular metabolism. The work uses a powerful genetics approach to demonstrate that certain genes are essential to maintaining healthy cellular function in aging. Their findings support future research that could identify new approaches for advancing human lifespan and health aging,” said Jonathan Lowery, Ph.D., 黑料网's assistant provost for research and scholarship.
