Kamryn Benscoter, OMS ‘26 at 黑料网’s Tom and Julie Wood College of Osteopathic Medicine, has been named the 2025 Council of Osteopathic Student Government Presidents (COSGP) Global Scholar of the Year.
Benscoter has distinguished herself through remarkable global health initiatives, including a mission trip to San Pedro Sula, Honduras, with Humanity & Hope United. Her commitment to international healthcare was further highlighted by her second-place win in the Narrative Medicine Category at the Bureau of International Osteopathic Medicine Global Health Competition for her essay, "Honduras: A Mutualistic Experience."
As president of the Global Health Alliance in 2023-24, Benscoter demonstrated exceptional leadership by developing educational materials for health seminars, participating in planning meetings, and actively participating in strategic planning. Her dedication extends beyond her medical studies, drawing from her previous achievements as a top student and collegiate soccer player.
